Ongoing City Projects
SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT
The City of Adrian was awarded a grant through the MnDOT Safe Routes to School program to replace sidewalk between the Adrian High School and Elementary School. New sidewalk will be paved along 5th Street from Kentucky Avenue and Nevada Avenue. Curb ramps will be improved at each intersection. The project will include paving the alley between the High School and the Football field (5th Street to 6th Street). Hulstein Excavating from Edgerton, MN is the contractor for the project that will start construction in early June and will be mostly completed by early August. Seeding may be delayed until the late summer seeding window.
The sidewalk replacement will limit driveway access to homeowners along the project. A homeowner may not be able to fully use their driveway for approximately two weeks once the sidewalk is removed.
